The Aastra MX-ONE communication system is based on an open software and hardware environment, using standard servers with a Linux SUSE operating system. This open standards approach enables Aastra to offer our customers a choice and with this in mind we have worked together with Microsoft to ensure that Aastra MX-ONE can be integrated with the latest Microsoft UC products.
Aastra MX-ONE 5.0 is the first communications system (IP-PBX) to be fully UCOIP qualified with Microsoft Lync Server 2013. This is a complete direct SIP integration, including security and media bypass, enabling customers to have both Aastra MX-ONE 5.0 and MS Lync 2013 co-exist side by side in the same infrastructure and benefit from the best of both worlds.

Microsoft Lync server 2010
Aastra MX-ONE 4.1 integrates with Microsoft Lync Server 2010 solutions directly via a SIP connection to reduce the overall cost and complexity of the combined solution. The integration is supported as a complementary solution providing end user services like instant messaging, presence and collaboration. The Aastra MX-ONE 4.1 communications platform is qualified with Micorsoft's Lync Server 2010.
Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging
Enterprises leverage their investment in Microsoft Exchange 2010 UM and Microsoft Exchange 2013 UM (Unified Messaging) when it is paired with an Aastra MX-ONE communications system. Exchange UM is an unified messaging system that includes a speech recognizing auto attendant, a unified inbox for voicemails and emails, voicemail previews through speech-to-text translation, message waiting lamp indication and much more.
